Funeral

A Traditional Funeral Service provides families with time for a visitation to share their memories of their loved one and to visit with family and friends. The funeral service itself helps to provide the closure that many people need to experience during their period of grieving and to honor their loved one. At Elmwood Chapel, we can provide a Traditional Funeral Service that can consist of a 1 or 2 day visitation, prayers and testimonials during the visitation, a short service prior to proceeding to the church of choice, a procession to the cemetery and graveside services. Each of these services can be modified to your specifications but still retain the tradition that we are accustomed to.

Our Same-Day Funeral Services allow for visitation and a funeral service like our Traditional Funeral Services; however, these services are performed either in one morning or one evening. The morning visitation usually begins at 9:00 am and concludes with a service at 12:00 pm. The evening service typically begins at 2:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. The family can opt to be chauffered privately to the crematory immediately following the morning session. If the evening option is chosen, the family can opt to be chauffered privately to the crematory the following morning. This allows families a more affordable option without sacrificing many of the aspects of a Traditional Funeral Service. Again, your special wishes can still be put into place to honor the deceased.
