Ivka Vukinovac (nee Likarevic) age 97, late of Orland Park, formerly of Calumet City, IL. Born in Croatia, passed away on September 27, 2026. Beloved wife of late Josip Vukinovac. Loving mother of Nena (late Ivan) Grbavac, Mara (late Ivan) Biondic. Cherished “Baba” of Michelle (Fiancé Mark Nielsen), late Johnny Grbavac, Sanja (Milan) Skegro, Mladen (Mirta) Biondic. Cherished great Baba of many, great-great Baka.  Preceded in death by parents Mate and Ruza Likarevic and siblings: Ivan, Pajo, Kate, Evica and Jane. 

 Ivka passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, family, faith, and countless memories. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and sister whose greatest joy was having her family around her. She lost her beloved husband in 1994 and has been widowed for a very long time.

 Throughout her 97 years, Ivka touched the lives of so many people with her kindness, strength, warmth and generosity. She has a way of making the people around her feel loved and cared for. Her home, her stories, her traditions, and the love she gave so freely will remain a part of her family for generations to come. She was a hard worker and retired, and lived her best life in the USA and traveling to her home country, Croatia.

 She especially cherished family gatherings, cooking her favorite meals, holidays, traveling to Croatia, church and her grandchildren. Her family will forever remember her love for fashion, her love for her family, and her endless walking wherever she could go.

 Although her family will deeply miss her, they find comfort in knowing that the love she gave them will never leave them. Her 97 years were a gift, and her memory will live on in every story shared, every tradition continued, and every heart she touched.

 Rest peacefully. Your love, your strength, and the memories you gave us will stay with us forever.

Visitation Thursday, October 1, 2026  DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Croatian Catholic Church from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
