Sandra J. Dill, "Sandy"

Passed away on September 24, 2026

Sandra J. Dill (Sandy) of Merrillville, IN passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2026 at the age of 71.

Sandy was born on December 7th,1954 to Richard and Norma Bonesteel in East Chicago, Indiana. She was a graduate of Crown Point High school.

Sandy was a dedicated mother, a loving grandmother, a devoted sister, and a faithful friend. She loved Jesus deeply and treasured every moment spent with her family. With a natural gift for comforting, encouraging, and supporting others, Sandy touched countless lives and brought warmth and kindness to those around her. She was also a generous gift-giver, with an incredible intuition for finding the perfect gift for each person she loved. Her generosity extended even beyond her passing, as she gave the gift of life as an organ donor, continuing to bless others even after her earthly life had ended.

Sandy is survived by her children, Kevin (Jill) Dill, Kyle (Andrea) Dill; her grandchildren, Lincoln Dill, Addison Dill and Bryce Pearson; her sister Karen (Dennis) Brown; and her brothers, Richard (Christina) Bonesteel Jr. and Bruce (Mary) Bonesteel. She was preceded in death by her parents Norma (Bonesteel) Kallay and Richard Bonesteel Sr.; and her brother Lance Bonesteel.

Her family grieves deeply but we do not do so without hope, as we know that Sandy is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Word of God gives us assurance that this goodbye is not forever.
