In Loving Memory of Lupe Gonzalez
Lupe Gonzalez, born on March 5, 1932, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the countless memories she created throughout her remarkable life.
Lupe was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Tia and Comadre whose greatest joy was her family. She shared a loving marriage with her beloved husband, Raul Gonzalez Sr., and together they built a family grounded in love, faith, and strong values.
She is survived by her husband, Raul Gonzalez Sr.; her children, Raul Gonzalez Jr. (Donna), Andrea Gonzalez, and Eulogio Gonzalez (Pat); her grandchildren, Sonia Koupiaris (Frank), Denise Gamez (Santiago), Joseph Gonzalez (Lisa), Christopher Castaneda (Liz), John Paul Castaneda (Alexis), Matthew Mikolajczyk (Kimberly), Melissa Mikolajczyk, Michael Gonzalez (Frances), Bobby Gonzalez (Ofelia), Christina Gonzalez, Joseph Eggers (Bridget) and Amanda Viveros; as well as many cherished great-grandchildren, Elijah, Thomas, Gabriella, Paul, Noah, Meryck, Greyson, Carsyn, Nora, Oliver, Daphne, Anthony, Elias, Brooklynn, Alex, Jackie, Gabby and Chloe whom she loved dearly and who brought immense happiness to her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Elvira Castaneda (Jesse) and Maria de la Luz Mikolajczyk (Donald).
Lupe will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and her faith. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and a big “abrazo”, always ready to make you something to eat. She took great pride in preparing meals that brought family together around her table. Whether sharing food, stories, laughter, or advice, she made every gathering feel special.
Throughout her life she put others before herself, taking care of all her grandchildren when they were very young, creating so many cherished memories. She loved and supported her children and was always there for them. Lupe was a devoted parishioner at St. Kevins Church in South Deering and enjoyed seeing her fellow parishioners every Sunday. Her faith in God was apparent in the way she lived her life.
While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and in the legacy of love she built throughout her 94 years. Her kindness, strength, laughter, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Eternal rest grant unto Lupe, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen
