Raymond S. Warzyniak (Ret. Chief of Police-Whiting Police Dept.), age 98, late of St. John, IN and formerly of Whiting, IN passed on September 13, 2026. Beloved husband of late Dolores for 57 years. Loving father of Stephen (Cheryl) Warzyniak, Robert (Audrey) Warzyniak, and late baby Mary Warzyniak. Devoted grandfather of Elizabeth (Aaron) Dowling, late baby Stephen Warzyniak, Bradley (Amanda) Warzyniak, Brittany (Jacob) Nicoson, Angela (Michael) Wallace, Andrew (Ashley) Kuiper, Jacob (Jessica) Warzyniak, and Jaimee Warzyniak. Cherished great-grandfather of 13 and great-great-grandfather of 4. Dear son of the late Steve and late Martha Wawrzyniak. Dearest brother of late Patricia (late Norbert) Gaylor. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Longtime loving companion of Gloria Dosen.
Raymond was a U. S. Marine Corp Veteran. Retired Chief of Police-Whiting Police Dept. Retired employee of Amoco Oil Company. Member of F.O.P., the American Slovak Club, and he played professional baseball with the Eastman Dodgers. The family would also like to give a special thank you to the staff at Two Hearts Homes for Seniors Lowell, IN for their excellent care of Raymond.
