"My deepest sympathies to Cookie’s family. I was so sad to see this. I met Cookie when I started driving a bus for STM. Cookie taught me so much about working with special needs. She balanced deep compassion and humor to be the best there was. Outside of work, we had great times at Wednesday night bowling, payday Fridays at Sheffields and the biggest bonfire I had ever seen in her backyard! I wish we would have kept in touch but I am grateful to have so many great memories of Cookie that I will keep near and dear to my heart. RIP Cookie, you were truly one of a kind. I’m so sorry for your loss. Laura Elkins "
