Andrew R. Kmetz Jr., age 92.  Late of St. John, Indiana formerly of Hessville.  Passed away August 22, 2026.  Beloved husband of the late Margaretha “Marge” Kmetz.  Loving father of Andrew (Teresa) Kmetz III, James Kmetz, Richard Kmetz, Deborah Pilackas, Robert (Michelle) Kmetz, and Thomas (Kristal) Kmetz.  Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Luke) Smith, Andrew (Jacquelyn) Kmetz IV, Megan Reis, Anthony Pilackas, Corey Kmetz, Tyler Pilackas, Justin (Kate) Kmetz, Sydney Kmetz, and Madison Kmetz.  Cherished great grandfather of Nolan, Owen, Mason, Ethan, Olivia, Lincoln, Abigail, Aaron, Margaret “Maggie”, Ozzy, Isabella, and Andrew V “A.J.”. Dear brother of John (Anita) Kmetz and Charlotte (late Ed) Mores.  Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Sr. and Lucille and dog Abby.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army – Korean War and a proud member of St. John VFW Post #717 and American Legion Post #485.  Andrew was a retired employee of Pepsi Co.  He loved to spend time traveling with Marge in their motor home.

Visitation Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and Monday, August 31, 2026 from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am with Rev. Peter Muha officiating at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th Ln.)
