Barbara  Blejski (nee Kuczynski), age 85.  Late of Dyer, Indiana formerly of South Chicago.  Passed away August 19, 2026.  Beloved wife of the late Aloysius “Al”.  Loving mother of Cheryl Maciejewski (Wayne) and the late Robert Blejski.  Cherished grandmother of Jeremy Maciejewski, Zachary (Jessye) Maciejewski, Nathan (Elizabeth) Maciejewski, Samantha (Steven) Watson, Jake Blejski, and Michael Blejski.  Cherished great grandmother of Layla, Aiden, Hager, and Liam.  Dear sister of Rev. James Kuczynski, Sandy Kuczynski, and Thomas (Laurel) Kuczynski.  Fond aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by parents Henry and Carrie Kuczynski.  Barb was a retired staff coordinator for St. Mary Medical Center.  She was an avid bowler and loved taking trips to the casino. One of her greatest joys was cheering for her grandkids at all their sporting events and spending time with family. 

Visitation Friday, August 28, 2026 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97^th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97^th Ln.) St. John.  Funeral Services Saturday, August 29, 2026 DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. with visitation from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.  In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s foundation.
