Evelyn Estrada "Evie" (nee Przybyla) late of Lansing, IL and formerly of South Deering passed away on August 18, 2026 in Munster, IN. Evie was born on July 30, 1957, to Jeanette and Alexander Mickus. Due to Jeanette's un‐timely passing. Evelyn was adopted by her Aunt Viola Przybyla and Uncle Joseph Przybyla. She is survived by her loving husband Tony Estrada, loving daughters Jessica (Tom) McClymont, Jen Estada; granddaughter Molly McClymont. Sisters Mary Anne (late Michael) Kurzawski, Alice (Warner) Mugford; brothers Tony (Josie) Mickus, and Alexander (Bev) Mickus and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by her parents Viola (Palsik) and Joseph Przybyla; Jeanette and Alexander Mickus; Sister Patricia and brother-in-law Wheeler Stanley; Sister Lilian and brother-in-law Gene Dobrze‐necki; Sister Nancy and brother-in-law Knezevich; Niece Christine Prescaro; Mother-in-law Juana Estrada; Sister Dorothy Mitcheltree Brother John Mickus.

Evelyn was sometimes shy but the most loving and caring person. She was the best storyteller. She loved to reminisce about memories from her time growing up in South Deering. Evelyn loved being a Bushie to Molly. She also loved dogs, especially her grand dogs. Evelyn loved the show Dancing with the Stars, a loyal watcher from the start. She enjoyed spending time with family and going to antique stores, going out to eat and watching movies. Evelyn also loved music. Donna Summer, Elton John, and Michael Jackson were some of her favorites.

A visitation will be held Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, with a Funeral Service to be held that afternoon at the chapel at 3 p.m. Interment will be private. For funeral information please call 773-731-2749.
