Frank J. Herold, age 88.  Late of Dyer, Indiana formerly of Lansing, Illinois.  Passed away August 10, 2026.  Beloved son of the late Frank and the late Grace Herold.  Loving brother of Grace (late Peter) Pflanzer and the late George Robert Herold.  Dearest uncle of Julie (Jeff Deichen) Sealy and Steve (Christy) Clettenberg.  Cherished great uncle of Brenna, late Carson, Bryce, Katy, Coco, and Blaine.  Dear great great uncle of Noah.  Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was a dedicated employee of Com Ed with 37 years of service.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his great nieces and nephews. 

Visitation and Funeral Services Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11:00 am until time of closing prayers and eulogy at 1:30 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th LN.(1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John.  Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital on Frank’s name preferred.  For more information 219-365-3474
