Sandra Burda passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Sandra was a loving and caring mother who devoted herself to her family. She lived in Saint John with her son, Nick Stevens, and her daughter-in-law, Yanira Stevens. She was also a beloved mother to her daughters, Cheryl Din and Lynn Stevens.

Sandra was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. Her family was a very important part of her life, and she cherished the love and memories they shared together.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Burda. 

Sandra had a special love for flowers and gardening. She found joy in caring for her garden and watching flowers grow, bringing beauty and warmth to those around her. Her gentle, loving nature and caring heart touched the lives of her family and friends.

She will always be remembered as “Nemma” for her kindness, her love for her family, and the warmth she brought into their lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, family, and all who loved her.

May she rest peacefully, surrounded once again by the love she gave so freely to others.

Visitation, Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00 am until the time of the prayer service at 12:00 pm. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Lane, St. John. Entombment is private.
