"My sincere condolences to Jimmy's family and loved ones. I was in the high school band with Jimmy and worked with him for about a year or so early in our careers. Jimmy had a gift of making people laugh and he was also the best saxophone and clarinet player that I have ever known. He was one in a million! Rest in peace Jimmy."

"Jim was frequently the one that made us laugh in the GWHS Bandroom. He was also an amazing musician and musical historian. We tried putting together a wedding band in the late 1980's and I regret it never got off the ground. His passing has truly left an emptiness in this world that no one can replace."

"If you ever worked with Jim, he would spend the tour talking about music, his love for jazz, and him playing his saxophone for an audiences in some dive club. I will best remember Jim for his impromptu voice parodies over Zone13.

"I have known Jimmy since GWHS Band in highschool. He was a great sax and clarinet player, and knew volumes of information about great jazz musicians from the past. He could always make you laugh, and make everyone around him feel good. I also have many fond memories of drinking with him, and his Dad, the "Lieutenant"!! My sincerest condolences go out to Jimmy's family. May God bless you all during this difficult and sad time!"

I was your neighbor for a lot of my life and even though you were older than me you were always a nice guy to me growing up I remember a lot of entertaining nights at mugs bunny with the joking around and the great music you played in the bar. Please accept my deepest condolences on Jim’s passing.
I had the privilege of working with Jim at the police department for over ten years. He was more than a coworker—he was a good man, a trusted partner, and someone I learned from every day.
Jim was also a talented musician, playing saxophone and clarinet. I’ll always remember our Christmas parties when he would play for us; those moments showed a side of him we all cherished.
I feel fortunate to have worked with him, learned from him, and called him a friend.
To his family and friends, I hope it brings comfort to know how much Jim meant to those who knew him. His service, friendship, humour, and music will not be forgotten.
There will never be another Jim Boreczky.
