James A. Blanford, age 77, late of the East Side passed away on May 19,2026. Beloved husband of Maryan (nee Perkowski) for 58 years. Loving father of Mike (Julie) Blanford, and late Brian J. Blanford. Devoted grandfather of twins; Jennalyse Blanford, and Michelle Blanford. Dear brother of David (Joyce) Blanford. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Retired Local 1 Ironworker for the City of Chicago. 

Memorial visitation Saturday, June 13, 2026, 12:00-5:00 p.m. WITH A Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617. Cemetery private.
