It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Borgia on May 15, 2026. Barbara (Mema, sweet Barb) was known for her style, grace, warmth, love and acceptance.

Barbara was a gifted Cosmetologist for over fifty years, winning several awards throughout her career. She will be remembered for her vibrant green thumb, spending countless hours nurturing their beautiful flowers and was also an exceptionally talented crafter who poured love into every handmade project, leaving behind cherished creations that the family will treasure forever.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love and laughter she brought to those around her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents: William and Leona Byrd, Sisters; Regina Chamberlain, Mary Wilson and Dorothy Byrd Jones Carneal. Brothers; William Byrd and Thomas Byrd, as well as her cherished children, Joanne (Borgia) Baublitz and James Peter Borgia.

She is survived by her loving brothers; Danny (Theresa) Byrd, Gary (Renate) Byrd, Terry Byrd, Chuck (Jane) Byrd. Sisters; Lorene (Robert) Holland, Brenda Baugh, Pansy (Chuck) Dovich, and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

Children: Elizabeth (Libby) Blahunka and her husband Robert (Bob) Blahunka, Warren (Lenny) Farris, Ginny Latham and her husband Jeffrey (Jeff) Latham, Jamie Borgia, Janine Borgia-Perez and her husband Michael Perez.

Barbara was a proud mema to Nichole (Michael) Lafferty, Jacqueline (Robert) Kiel, Holly (Daniel) Raftery, Samantha Latham, Kayleigh Latham, Anthony McClendon, Justine McClendon, William McClendon, Sydney (Ryan) Triassel, Mattew McClendon, Aaron Baublitz, Angelina Borgia, Brandon Perez, Brett Borgia, Haylee Perez, Jurnee Baublitz, Nicholas Borgia and William Borgia.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Abigail Kiel, Ryleigh Lafferty, Brayden Lafferty, Grayson Lafferty, Mia Kiel, Layla Kiel and Madeline Raftery.

Barbara’s legacy of love, laughter and generosity will be carried on by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
