Devoted uncle of Ava, McKenzie, Micah and Gage. Dear grandson of Alberto (Patricia) Dehoyos and Gloria Trinidad, late Donald Spizzirri and Cynthia Spizzirri, Phillip Perez and Juanita Perez, Juan Martinez and Alicia Martinez. Great-grandson of Emma (late Paul) Musk. Ray is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
This is from Albert (Dad) and Melissa:
Ray was always one that could put a smile on your face no matter what the situation was. He made us proud in being a graduate of George Washington Elementary and High school. It was an honor to see him cross the stage inside one of the grandest places in his home city, Soldiers Field, with his brother Anthony by his side. He always strived for greatness, having worked in a factory called Befesa where his father and uncle worked alongside him and made many friends along the way. Having to learn as much as he could to better himself. His skills then transferred him to seeking employment at Tradebe. He continued to always brag on everything new he was being a part of as far as how to learn to drive heavy equipment, confined space rescue and learning operations controls. And in only one year of being there he was up for consideration as a supervisor. As his parents we are so proud of him and everything he did for his family. Ray's love for Godzilla and Raman soup kept us interested in gathering stuff for him to always put a smile on his face. A new hobby of playing a game called Warhammer which is a model created war game similar to D&D and Risk. He was always happy to tell us how far he's gotten into putting his army together. Always making us happy to see that smile on his face and his family will continue his work. Ray was always a lover of food especially of the spicy variety. He was always one to enjoy fruits of his labor and loved his family so much and will forever be in our hearts especially during breakfast and dinner (His favorite time of day).
This is from Jessica (Mom) and Juan:
Ray was genuinely himself at all times. He had a way of making himself at home wherever he went. He loved being comfortable, that’s why you would always see him in a hoodie, joggers or basketball shorts, and his boots, just like his dad. Ray could make light of any situation. Even as a child, he always knew how to make people laugh. One of his famous lines was, “Punk Baby Dinosaur.” Speaking of dinosaurs, he loved dinosaur movies, video games, and Godzilla.Ray was also a blue-collar guy through and through. He was proud of the work he was doing and was always eager to learn more so he could continue advancing at his job. He worked hard and took pride in becoming independent. He loved his family deeply, especially his brothers and sisters. He was so excited when he bought his first Jeep, and even more excited when he got his first apartment. We were so proud of everything he was accomplishing and the man he was becoming. From the precious baby God blessed me with to the man he grew into, I will forever be honored and grateful to be his mom.My son, please know that I will love you forever. Thank you for these 23 beautiful years.
