Mark S. Amato, age 72.  Late of Dyer, Indiana formerly of Naperville and Yorkville, Illinois.  Passed away surrounded by his family on April 16, 2026.  Beloved husband of Lisa (nee Sardella) for 29 years.  Loving father of Justin Amato, Trinity (Timothy) Wangler, Stephanie (Darren) Fairbanks, and Kristen Miller.  Cherished grandfather of Bryn, Ellie, Ethan, Everett, Elodie, Emaline, and Jonathan.  Dear nephew of Janice Carder.  Mark is also survived by many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog Mr. Cooper.  He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Marjorie Amato.  He was a retired photographer for Amoco Company.  Mark was an avid coin, gun, and train collector as well as a Harley Davidson enthusiast.

Memorial Visitation and Services Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.)
