Danny Munoz Sr. “Juice” age 70. Late of the East Side, formerly of South Chicago. Passed Away on April 10, 2026. Beloved husband of Lydia Munoz (nee Salinas). Loving father of Danny (Wanda) Munoz Jr., Raymond (Fatima) Munoz, Lisa Munoz, and Marisa Munoz. Cherished grandpa of Renee, Robert, Rebecca, Serena, RJ, Sofia, Olivia, Maximus, and Leon. Adored great grandpa of Aleeyah and Daniel. Survived by siblings; Cruz (Karen) Munoz, and Marcy (Richard) Navarro. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; Thomas and Guadalupe Munoz and siblings; Frank, Thomas Jr., Bunny, Gloria, and Rita.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services, Friday, April 17, 2026, with closing prayers at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. 

Basketball was a big part of his life from an early age, playing in neighborhood leagues, competing in a traveling league with El Centro IL All Sports as a member of the Chicago Warriors, and later giving back to the game by coaching others. His love of sports stayed with him throughout his life as a devoted Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He also loved spending time on the golf course.

His love for family ran deep. As the former President of Malo, a nonprofit organization, he carried on a meaningful legacy, building lasting friendships and a strong sense of brotherhood with fellow members.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. He was deeply loved by many, and to his family, he was a steady and protective presence. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
