James “Jim” Blair, late of Dyer, Indiana, passed away surrounded by family on April 3, 2026. Beloved husband of Sharon Blair, they were the love of each other’s lives for over 30 years. They met at his place of employment, the Chicago Assembly plant, and knew right away that they would be together forever. He was a retiree of Ford Motor Company, where he made many loving and supportive friendships. His pride and joy was his daughter, Jessica. He was a loving father to Dina Dombroski and Brenda Cook, and a cherished grandfather to Nicholas, Matthew, Lauren Dombroski, and David Cook.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He and his family are longtime devout members of the St. John the Evangelist Parish. He was an avid boater and loved to travel the world. His home away from home was Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. There, he made many great memories with his family. His life was fulfilling and full of love, joy, and smiles. He will be remembered for his positive attitude, sense of humor, and outgoing personality.
