Fred T. Policchio, age 82, of Warsaw, Indiana, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026.

Fred was the beloved husband of Penny (née Corbel), with whom he shared 62 devoted and loving years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to Lisa (fiancé Donald Kritenbrink) Watta and Sherrie (fiancé Mike Gerlach) Spoolstra, and a cherished grandfather to Bryce and Brielle Spoolstra. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Shaun Watta.

He was the dear brother of Jim (Sarah) Policchio and Rosemary (Gerald) Edwards, and the devoted son of the late Louis and the late Melba Policchio. Fred will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, warmth, and steady presence.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the concluding Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m., with a family eulogy at 3:00 p.m., at Elmwood Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Lane, St. John, Indiana.

Fred’s legacy of love, devotion, and family will be carried on by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
