Patricia Tomczak (nee Baran), age 84.  Lifelong of resident of Hegewisch.  Passed away March 13, 2026.  Beloved wife of the late James Tomczak.  Loving mother of Karyn (Tony) Pesich, the late James “Jimbo” Tomczak, Mark Tomczak, and Judy (Mike) Elizalde.  Cherished grandmother of Danny (Rachel) Downes, Samantha Gillinger, and Michael “Bubba” Elizalde and great grandmother Connor Downes.  Dearest sister of Irene (Rich) Jeanor, Kathleen Graczyk, and Alice Wick.  Patricia is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was a kind, loving and genuine person.  Everyone that knew her loved her.  She was the best Mother and even better Gram.  She was a longtime waitress at the Brainard House / Gaddini’s Restaurant.  Patricia was a member of the St. Columba Altar and Rosary Society and the VFW Post #369 Ladies Auxiliary.  She will live on in all the memories she made with us.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:30 am until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1849 Lincoln Ave., Whiting IN 46394.  Interment Private.
