Passed away on March 5, 2026

With profound love and sorrow, we bid farewell to our beloved Elpidia (Pila), who gently transitioned to eternal peace on March 5th at 1:15am, surrounded by the warmth of love and serenity. Born on March 4, 1935, she lived a life woven with faith, grace, and quiet strength. For 30 resplendent years, she shared a sacred and enduring marriage with her beloved husband, Jose Chavez Terrazas, a partnership rooted in devotion, sacrifice, and unwavering love. Together, they built a family that became her greatest joy and proudest blessing. She was a loving stepmother to Jesus (Peggy) and loving mother to David (Veronica), Rafael (Eva), Carmen (Jesus), Roberto, Fernando (Antoinette), and Ricardo (Melinda). Her love extends through generations, living on in the laughter and lives of her 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who were the light of her heart. Elpidia's 91 years were marked by steadfast faith, gentle kindness, and unwavering devotion, leaving behind a legacy of love, and a multitude of dear nieces, nephews, and extended family, including her cherished caregiver and friend, Norma Orozco. Now, she rests in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved parents, brothers, and husband, free from pain, bathed in heavenly light.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace knowing her love remains with us in every whispered prayer, every shared story, and every act of compassion she taught us by example. May her memory be a blessing, and may her light continue to illuminate our lives.
