Pasqualina “Lina” Cappello (nee Cinanni), longtime resident of the East Side, passed away February 22, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Antonio. Loving mother of Anthony (Denise) Cappello Jr. and Sergio (Julie) Cappello. Devoted grandmother of Anthony, Vinny, Abby and Aaron. Dearest sister of Bruno (late Isoldi) Cinanni and Anna Cinanni in Italy. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Italy.

Our beloved Nonna lived 96 strong and spirited years. Fiercely devoted to her sons and grandchildren, she showed her love through her kitchen—where no one ever left hungry. She was a loyal friend to many and a second mother to her sons’ friends. Lina was a longtime parishioner of St. George Church and member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She cherished her life on the East Side of Chicago and the community she called home.

Visitation Thursday from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10:30 am from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Our Lady of Nazareth Church (Formerly Annunciata). Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. For more information 773-731-2749.
