Eugene E. Marolewski, age 94, late of Chicago, formerly of Dyer, passed away February 16, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine (nee Szymanski). Loving father of Michelle (Daniel) Balog. Devoted grandfather of Christina Balog, Daniel Jr. (Lauren) Balog and Cameron Balog. Cherished great-grandfather of Mikayla and Haylie. Dear Godfather of Veronica (Les) Kazmierczak. Fond uncle of many. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Eugene loved his cars, telling stories, Chicago White Sox and eating sweets. Visitation Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 8:30 a.m. until time of Prayers at 10:15 a.m. at the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to All Souls Parish (formerly St. Ann’s) for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to Wreaths Across America in Eugene’s name would be appreciated.
