Carlos Macias Alvarado, age 48, late of Hegewisch passed away on February 16, 2026. Carlos was born in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico on October 13, 1977.  Beloved husband of Ilda Macias for 26 years. Loving father of Edwin (Mary Ramos) Macias and Ulises Macias. Loving grandfather of a “Special Angel Granddaughter on the Way” Mary Rose Macias. Dear son of Micaela and the late Salvador Macias. Dearest brother of Lupe (Isidro) Rodríguez, Aurora (Francisco) Olmos, Salvador Macias, Alicia Macias, Martin Macias, Maggie (Leopoldo Ramirez) Macias, Roberto Macias and Antonio (Aide) Macias. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Carlos was a employee of Nick’s Landscaping. 

Visitation Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Monday, February 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
