Judith Tominac (nee Bartolomeo) age 88, of Dyer, Indiana, (formerly South Holland, IL) passed away with family by her side on Saturday, February 14th, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Blasé Sr. and Mary (Coci) Bartolomeo. She was preceded in death by her dearly missed brother, Blasé Jr. Bartolomeo (Butch) and her husband of 50 years, Nicholas Sr. Tominac. Their long, awaited reunion has been a comfort to those who grieve them.
She is survived by her cherished son, Nicholas Jr. Tominac (Lisa), and her devoted daughter, Maria Newsome. She will always be remembered by her grandchildren - Mia Zubeck, Chloe Tominac, and Jonathan Tominac. She leaves behind her best friend, her puppy, Simba, who will miss her every day.
She was Aunt Judy to many nieces and nephews that adored her. Together with her cousins, Joan (Coci) Tarrant and the late Natalie (Coci) Swearingen, they raised a close-knit family where love, laughter, and loyalty were the foundation of their lives.
Judy was as fierce as they came. She was known for her fashion and accessories – usually sporting animal print, velvet, fur, and her iconic sunglasses. You could always count on her to make her pizzelles or to have a pot of Italian wedding soup in the fridge. Her wit and tenacity will never be forgotten by all who knew her.
