Susan A. Lorenzetti (nee Majkowski)

Passed away on February 2, 2026

Susan A. Lorenzetti (Nee Majkowski), age 69. Late of St. John, Indiana, formerly of Olympia Fields, Illinois. Passed away on February 2, 2026. Beloved wife of Carlo “Bud” Lorenzetti for 37 years. Loving mother of Anthony Acquaviva, Nicholas (Kimberly) Acquaviva, Stephanie Lorenzetti, and Thomas Lorenzetti. Cherished grandmother of Mason, Paul, and Carter. Dearest sister of Timothy (Sara) Majkowski.

Known to everyone simply as “Sue,” she graduated in 1974 from Thornridge High School. Becoming a mother at a young age, she made countless sacrifices for her children, always putting their needs before her own. Through her strength, resilience, and unwavering love, she gave them a foundation built on devotion and care.

For many years, Sue worked in restaurants, working in a role that reflected her warmth, work ethic, and gift for connecting with people. Proud of her Polish heritage, she especially loved sharing and enjoying traditional favorites like pierogi and kolaczki. After retiring, she embraced life’s simple pleasures; spending time with her friends and family, planning her girls trips, and laughing at silly jokes.

A true lover of travel, laughter, and celebration, Sue will be fondly remembered for her bright personality, captivating conversations, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Her warmth, humor, and love for those around her will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

"Buddy and family, so very sorry for your loss. Memories of growing up—Suzi was beautiful, supercool, witty, and full of energy. In 6th or 7th gr we practiced her dance moves in her basement. Driving to high school in Sue’s Thunderbird was an adventure, especially with Sue driving. I loved keeping in touch over the years at get-togethers and the treasured Mother-Daughter St. John’s breakfasts. Too soon for this. I love you, Sue!"
