Valida M. Perez Milhouse, age 56, late of East Side, passed away January 28, 2026. Beloved wife of Patrick Milhouse for 29 years. Loving mother of Megan (Brian La Fountain) Milhouse. Devoted daughter of Lupe (Pete Garcia) Perez. Dearest sister of Judge Linda Perez, Manuel (Barb Munoz) Perez and late Rena (Sergio) Pedraza. Also survived by caring sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Valida was a former employee of AT & T, enjoyed gardening and playing Bocce. Visitation Tuesday 2-8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 10:30am from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL to Our Lady of Nazareth Church. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Your hardwork and dedication to your community will never be forgotten. We will not let it be forgotten.
Valida has volunteered (as well as her family and friends) with garden activities for almost 5 years. She then, with a wonderful group, went on to start the South Deering Farm Stand. She loved her community and the work that came with it. We are heartbroken of her passing.

"Valida was a true friend to me but a best friend to my husband. They worked as partners at ATT and they were the dynamic duo. They ALWAYS looked out for one another!!
