Passed away on December 11, 2025

Francesco Zicca, 87, of Chicago’s East Side, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. Francesco was the beloved husband of the late Lucia “Lucy” (nee Cairo) Zicca, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. He was a loving and proud father to Joseph (Cynthia) Zicca, AnnaMaria (Tom Zeitz) Gavros, and Jennie Zicca, and a devoted grandfather to Jillian, Jack, Mia, Michael Francesco, Ellia, and Gianna, who brought him endless joy.

He was the dear son of the late Pasquale and the late Genoeffa Zicca, and is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.Francesco retired from LTV Steel, where he worked for many years, and will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, from 3:00–8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S.
