John Stanley Quasebarth, age 81, late of DeMotte, formerly of Monticello and Cedar Lake, passed away on November 22, 2025. Beloved husband of his late wife, Donna, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was the proud father of Tammy Landry, Cheri Landry, Dawn Spear, and the late Lisa (Gary) Smith. Cherished grandfather of Andrea, Craig, Bryan, Jessica, Johnny, Joseph, Jeannie, Marty, and Donna. Dearest great-grandfather of Emilee, Amelia, Leila, Quinn, Bennett, Sophia, Maddox, Jackson, and Marquon. Dear brother of Sally and Marilyn. Favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary; his wife, Donna; his daughter, Lisa; and his siblings Richard, Susie, Shirley, Frank, Sonny, Larry, Darlene, Jimmy, and Diane.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Patrick Gawrylewski, OFM officiating, at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel – Cedar Lake, 9931 Lincoln Plaza Way (½ block south of 133rd Ave., across from the library at Lincoln Plaza Way).
