Passed away on December 2, 2025

Filomena Caporale (nee Alessia), age 93.  Passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025.  Beloved wife of Vincenzo for 66 years.  Loving mother of Frank (JoAnne) Caporale, Carmela (Michael) Toporis, and Eva (Giovanni) Lucido.  Cherished grandmother of Alexa (Zach), Mena (Giovanni), Angelica, Vincenzo, Gianna, Michael, Gianluca, and Enzo.  Cherished great grandmother of Luciano, Alessia, Leo, Vito, and Cora.  Dearest sister of Vincenzo, Mary, Joseph, Rita, John, Ben, and Adolph.  Preceded in death by parents Gaetano and Maria Francesca Alessia and siblings Raffaele, Lucio, and Silvano.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Filomena brought a little sparkle wherever she went - literally and figuratively. It didn't matter the day or the occasion, Fllomena was sure to step out in some sort of embellished top and her signature dangling earrings. She lit up every room she'd walk into - all four and a half feet of her - with a warm smile and an even warmer hug and kiss for everyone. She loved spending time outside, basking in the sun, helping with the garden, and watching her grandkids and great-grandkids swim - she always ended the summer with the most radiant tan! Filomena also enjoyed going shopping, and she would most often be found in the kitchen.

Filomena's incredible cooking will be part of her legacy forever as love was a staple ingredient in every one of her recipes. It's something special that she has passed down to her kids, grandkids, and anyone who wanted to learn from her. From pastas to pastries, and everything in between, no one would ever leave her house hungry. Food is something that brings people together, and she was happiest in the company of her family and a table full of delicious dishes.

Filomena's family has always been the center of her universe. She was loving, generous, hospitable, one in a million, and the glue to her entire family. Filomena will be deeply missed by all, but her memory and light will shine forever.
