Amalia Gomez López, de 79 años, nacida en Ensinillas, Jalisco, residente del East Side, falleció el 23 de octubre de 2025. Madre amorosa de Roberto (Josefina), Amalia (Salvador), Ramón (Ofelia), David, Magdalena (Faustino), Mariana (Héctor), María (José), José (Justina) y Daniel. Amalia, más conocida como Mamaya por sus numerosos nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos. Una mamá guerrera, atenta, cariñosa, consejera y excelente cocinera. Una persona que siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. Además, devota a sus creencias religiosas.

“Dios de misericordia y de amor, ponemos en tus manos amorosas a nuestra mamá y querida abuela. En esta vida tú le demostraste tu gran amor; y ahora que ya está libre de toda preocupación, concédele la felicidad y la paz eterna. Recíbela ahora en el paraíso, en donde ya no habrá dolores, ni lágrimas ni penas, sino únicamente paz y alegría con Jesús, tu hijo, y con el Espíritu Santo para siempre. Amen.”

Visita el martes 28 de octubre de 2025, de 3 a 8 p.m. Funeral miércoles 29 de octubre de 2025, a las 10:15 a.m. desde Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL 60617, hacia la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Nazaret (anteriormente Annunciata). Amalia, better known as Mamaya by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A strong, attentive, loving mother, advisor, and excellent cook. A person who was always willing to help others. Additionally, devoted to her religious beliefs.

"God of mercy and love, we place in your loving hands our mother and dear grandmother. In this life, you showed her your great love; and now that she is free from all worries, grant her eternal happiness and peace. Receive her now in paradise, where there will be no more pain, tears, or sorrow, but only peace and joy with Jesus, your son, and with the Holy Spirit forever. Amen."
