Condolences
"It’s hard to find the right words when you lose someone who shaped the way you work and the way you see the world. Les Lis wasn’t just my mentor — he was a force. He taught me how to organize in the truest sense, taking a non-union shop and giving people a voice by making them Teamsters. He believed in fairness, brotherhood, and standing up for the people who do the work. We shared stories of serving in the Navy, and through those talks I saw his deep sense of loyalty and duty — the same traits that guided him long after his service ended. When he retired, he didn’t slow down. He poured that same heart into championing veterans and supporting the Lowell VFW. Above all, Les was a family man. My love to you, Barb, during this difficult time — you were his rock. To his son and grandchildren, know that you were what he bragged about most. His passing leaves an ache that words can’t touch, yet I am deeply grateful for the time I had to learn from him — as a mentor, a fellow veteran, and a friend. His legacy of service, loyalty, and love for his family will carry on in all who had the privilege of knowing him."

"Barb, Leslie, Pilar, and family: I was so sad to hear about Les passing away. He fought the good fight! He is going to missed by me, Harvey and Reagan. Reagan was so blessed to have Les as a grandfather figure in her life and she loved him so much. I am so grateful for our years of friendship and love and will miss him. Hugs and much love to all of you during this difficult time. His memory will forever be a blessing!"
