Eileen Bravo Hollis, age 79, late of DeMotte, IN and formerly of Hegewisch passed away on October 15, 2025. Beloved wife of James Hollis for 36 years. Loving mother of Charles Bravo, Vincent (Karen) Bravo, Jason (Christina) Hollis and Joseph Hollis. Devoted grandmother of Vincent Bravo, Derek Bravo, Brooke Bravo, Bryce Bravo, Joshua (Fiancé Lorah) Hollis, Jacob (Fiancé Kylie) Hollis and Joseph Hollis. Dear daughter of the late Archibald and late Bernice Toczydlowski. Dearest sister of Clyde (Fran) Toczydlowski. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Eileen was one-of-a-kind and beloved by all who knew her. She was a hard worker, who spent her entire life taking care of everyone she loved, rarely thinking of herself, though she would never complain. She was kind and generous, treating others with admiration, courtesy and best of all, respect. She had a beautiful laugh and a contagious smile to everyone around her. Eileen did what you call “living life to the fullest.” She treasured her life long friendships, her loving husband, and all of her family, but her grandkids were her pride and joy. When they were small they dubbed her house “Lala land.” She would make forts and paint pictures with them. She dressed them up in homemade costumes. They cooked and baked together. They played games and explored. She and Jim took them to amusement parks, beaches, the zoo, rollerskating, ice-skating. Eileen was always looking for the next adventure and they made so many beautiful memories. As they got older, she attended every sporting event, graduation, and school program. Even when things got tough, she was determined to be there. Her permanent smile showed how proud she was of her entire family.

Visitation Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 West 97^th Lane (1/2 block west of U.S. 41 / Wickers Ave. at 97th Lane) St. John, IN 46373. A visitation will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025, DIRECTLY at St. Maria Goretti Church 500 Northgate Drive Dyer, IN 46311 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cemetery private.
