Javorka Zekavica (nee Mitic), age 87. Late of Calumet City, Illinois. Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Miladin Zekavica. Loving mother of Zoran (Lela) Zekavica and Zorica (Zoran) Zivkovic. Cherished Baba of Angelina, Kristijan, and Danijel. Javorka is also survived by many kumovi, family, and friends here in the US and Serbia. She is preceded in death by her parents Dragic and Mileva Mitic. Javorka was a longtime member of the Circle of Serbian Sisters and St. Simeon Mirotocivi Serbian Orthodox Church.
