It is with Great Sadness that we announce our Dear Mother, Rosa Elena Chavez, age 59, sadly passed away, Friday September 26, 2025, after her long battle against Breast Cancer, she went peacefully with her family and Children by her side.
Rosa was born July 22, 1966 to parents Filimon & Magdalena Chavez, born in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. She later established life in South Chicago, IL where she was a well respected member and pillar of the community who was loved and respected by many.
Among many things she was good at she was passionate about cooking it was her love language, and she was an amazing Cook, she made many Authentic Mexican dishes but her homemade Mole was the best and her famous Salsa Roja that was always a staple. She also had many hobbies, Crocheting was one of her many talents that she was very good at and she made many beautiful pieces. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, but most of all she loved spending time with her Children and Grandchildren making many memories together.
Rosa is survived by her loving husband Juan Briseno & adorable puppy Indio, whom she adored. She is survived by her Mother Magdalena, (Predeceased) Father Filimon Chavez, survived by her brothers and sisters Yolanda, Jose, Viviano, Gabriela, Maricela, (Predeceased) Eduardo, survived by her 6 children whom she was a loving mother to, Jacksenia, Beatriz, (PreDeceased) Rodrigo, Moises, Raul, Nicholas, and Miguel Angel, survived by many grandchildren Isabella, Jasmine, Brian, Lilos, Andy, Mikeyala, Rafael, Abriana, Ceceilia, Nicholas Jr., Sofia, Matthew, and Chuy and her only great grand daughter Juliette Rose, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rosa, was kind, generous, loyal, and a dedicated Mother. She will be missed dearly by many but most of all she will be missed by her children whom will always honor her and remember. Gone but never forgotten Mama, forever in our hearts! Rest in Peace Mama, we love you always and forever!
