Doris (Boyer) Busse, age 87, born March 7, 1938 in Princeton, Illinois. Passed away on September 7, 2025 in Hobart, Indiana. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph (Gene) Boyer and her beloved mother Alice Mayne and father Sidney J. Holler. She also lost her fur baby Shadow a couple of years ago who was always at her side.

Doris is survived by her children, Darla Busse, Debbie, and the late Danny (Cindy). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Doris was a resident of Whiting, Indiana for the past 40 years and retired from Rainbow Transport trucking company. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Whiting. Doris’ favorite pastimes were bowling, going to the casino, and senior outings with the Little Brothers organization.

Visitation Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97^th Lane, St. John. Interment Memory Lane Cemetery, Crown Point.
