Arturo Senteno

Passed away on August 18, 2025

Arturo Senteno, age 73, of the Southeast side of Chicago, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and coach, Arturo’s presence left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Yolanda, and his children Janie (Jesse), Angie (Samuel), Arturo (Ruby), Miguel (Vanesa), and Evita. Arturo also leaves behind 11 grandchildren (Tyee, Nicole, Samantha, Gaby, Elliana, Santos, Christian, Ethan, Benicio, Aria, Miguel), one great-grandchild (Angelo), and a grand-dog (Navi), who adored their “Grandpa,” along with many extended family members, teammates, and friends. He is preceded in death by his son (Santos), sister (Eva), and parents (Roman and Celia), with whom he is now reunited in eternal peace.

Born and raised on the South Side, Arturo was a lifelong White Sox fan. He worked as an electrician, a career he retired from with pride, and dedicated many years to coaching young athletes—helping to shape not only their skills but also their character. His strong Catholic faith guided him throughout his life, and his generosity ensured that he was always willing to give his time and energy wherever it was needed most.

Arturo will be remembered for his love of family gatherings, his gift for storytelling, his quick wit, and his firm belief that he was right 99.5% of the time. He truly lived life to the fullest, always offering wisdom, laughter, advice, and love.

We love you, Arturo/Dad/Grandpa. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know you.
