Thomas W. “Tom” Unwin, age 80.  Late of East Hazel Crest, IL. Passed away July 26, 2025.  Beloved husband of the late Lee Ann Unwin for 56 years. Loving father of Laurie (Arthur) Krueger, Joseph (Maria Fe) Unwin, and Michelle (Danny) O’Nail.  Cherished grandfather of  Arthur (Michelle) Krueger, Thomas Krueger, Mark Unwin, Josephine Unwin, Kellie (Jacob) Middleton, and Dillon (Emily) O’Nail.  Dearest great grandfather Tommy, Karlee, Jeremiah, De’Shawn, Walter, Sincerity, Savannah, and Louise. Dear brother of Billy Unwin (Peggy), and late Richard (Judy) Unwin. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Tom was a longtime employee of People’s Gas before moving on to Ismie Mutual.  Tom was an avid reader, enjoyed fine dining, visiting museums and history. 

Visitation and Funeral Services Friday, August 1, 2025 DIRECTLY at Holy Name Catholic Church 11000 W. 133rd Ave. Cedar Lake. from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.  Interment Holy Name Church Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Elmwood Chapel – Cedar Lake.  For more information 219-374-9300
