Kevin D. Barry, 74, of Chicago (Hegewisch), passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
Kevin was a loving brother to Bonnie (Eric) Hall of Lansing, IL. He was a friend to all of the residents at The Senior Suites of Hegewisch, where he lived. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha Barry and brother John (Jack) Barry.
Kevin graduated from Bowen High School in 1968. Before he retired, he worked at Scot Lad Foods and US Security. He volunteered thousands of hours at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond and Franciscan Health in Munster.
He was an avid sports enthusiast and was #1 at sports trivia. He followed and cheered for all Chicago Sports Teams but especially loved The Chicago Cubs. Kevin also enjoyed listening to music, particularly from the 1960's and 1970's era. He could be seen often riding the #30 Bus heading to Pete's after stopping for his "senior coffee" at Dunkin Donuts. He had a heart of gold and was kind. An inspiration to his sister, he will be greatly missed and always remembered in love. May God rest his soul.
