Passed away on June 21, 2025


Felipe Magallanes, age 61, late of the East Side, passed away on June 21, 2025. 
 
Felipe was a proud native of Zacatecas, Mexico, and a dedicated provider who worked tirelessly to ensure a better life for his family. He was the beloved husband of Maria Magallanes for 32 years and the loving father of Fabian (Lindsay) Magallanes, Erika (Jose) Solis, Roman Magallanes, Vanessa Magallanes, Gabriel Magallanes, and Diego Magallanes. 
 
A devoted grandfather to Jameson, Felipe was also the cherished son of the late Roman and late Leonor Magallanes. One of ten siblings, he was a dear brother and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. 
 
Felipe retired from Tranco Corporation, where he was a respected and hard-working employee. His life was defined by strength, selfless devotion, and deep love for his family. 
 
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

 

Visitation Monday, June 30, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 to Our Lady of Nazareth Church. Mass o Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749

Felipe Magallanes, de 61 años, residente del East Side, falleció el 21 de junio de 2025. 
 
Felipe fue un orgulloso originario de Zacatecas, México, y un fuerte trabajador que trabajó incansablemente para asegurar una vida mejor para su familia. Fue el amado esposo de María Magallanes durante 32 años y el querido padre de Fabián (Lindsay) Magallanes, Erika (José) Solís, Román Magallanes, Vanessa Magallanes, Gabriel Magallanes y Diego Magallanes. 
 
Abuelo devoto de Jameson, Felipe también fue el querido hijo de los fallecidos Román y Leonor Magallanes. Uno de diez hermanos, fue un hermano amado y querido tío de muchos sobrinos y sobrinas. 
 
Felipe se jubiló de Tranco Corporation, donde fue un empleado respetado y trabajador. Su vida estuvo marcada por la fortaleza, la entrega y un profundo amor por su familia. 
 
Será profundamente extrañado y recordado por siempre.
