Florencia R. Cano

Passed away on June 23, 2025

Florencia Cano (née Ramos), age 83, of Chicago’s East Side, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Jesus Cano. Cherished mother of the late Jesus Cano Jr., Carlos (Krystal) Cano, and Irene Cano. Devoted grandmother to Carlos Cano Jr., Adriana Cano, Noah Cano, and Olivia Cano.

Dear daughter of the late Victor and Maria Ramos, Florencia was one of twelve siblings and a fond aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

Florencia lived her life with deep love, resilience, and joy. Her greatest gift was her heart — friends became her chosen family, and her home was a place of warmth and welcome. She expressed her love through shared meals around the table and laughter.

Her joy came from God, and her deep faith guided her through every chapter of life. She carried herself with grace and quiet strength, always trusting in His plan and giving thanks for the blessings she was given.

Among her greatest blessings were her grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into her life. She poured her heart into each of them, celebrating their joys and surrounding them with unwavering love. They will carry her love in their hearts forever.

Florencia leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, deep faith, and a spirit that brought light and comfort to all who knew her.
