With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ljubica Cuvalo, a devoted mother, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world on June 15th at the age of 53.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Ljubica lived a life defined by unconditional love and an unwavering strength. She was the proud mother of two children, Ava and Joe, who were her greatest joy and the center of her life. She poured her heart into raising them, with love, wisdom, and endless support.
Ljubica was also a cherished daughter to her mother, Kristina Cuvalo, and is now reunited in peace with her late father, Ljubo Cuvalo. She was a loving sister and sister-in-law to Andriana Nowak (Leo Nowak), Maria Kowaleski (Kevin Kowaleski), Lina Weber (Mike Weber), and a proud aunt to Sophie, Anna, Caroline, Emily, and Ben.
Her independence, loyalty, and her sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to have known her. She stood firmly for her children and she loved with her whole heart.
Ljubica is survived by her daughter, Ava Peters, and her son, Joseph Peters, her mother, Kristina Cuvalo, her sisters, nieces, nephew and many family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Though she is no longer with us, her love lives on in the laughter of her children, the strength of her family, and all the lives she touched.
