Ronald J. Cwetna, age 88, longtime resident of Calumet City, IL passed away June 10, 2025. Beloved husband of Brenda for 65 years. Loving father of Mark Cwetna, late Michael Cwetna and David Cwetna. Devoted grandfather of Ronald and David Cwetna. Cherished great-grandfather of Joshua, Evelyn, Natalie and Sophia. Dearest brother of Nancy, Robert, Kathleen, and the late Judy. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ron was a retired employee of LTV Steel.  He was a longtime member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and 63 year member the Knights of Columbus – Trinity Council #3755, former member of Hammond Mohawks, and an avid bowler.

Visitation Friday, June 13, 2025 3-8 pm.  Funeral Services Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  For more information 773-731-2749.

" This heart of mine is with all our family~ With ~Much Love~ flowing always to Ronnie &my dear sister Brenda~ now together for eternity. I forever hold the memory of Ronnie&Brenda's wedding day,even tho I was a young girl at the time. Ronnie made a special point of asking me to dance that day.. &because I didn't know how, as it was my first dance ever.. Ronnie had me stand on top of his feet, & he danced a waltz with me around the floor for the full song that played, making me feel special.. as my beautiful sister Brenda, with a big smile watched us. They both always wanting me to feel special, &let me know I mattered. With a lifetime of memories of~ that dance,&their three boys; my nephews.. Mark, Michael, &David.. &.. Ronnie&Brenda's endless love, they remain with me in my heart&thoughts always~ Love~ Mary xo💞xo "
