Passed away on June 6, 2025

Milan Djukic passed away peacefully Jun 6th at the age of 96. He was born 03/10/1929 in Donja Lapac the former Yugoslavia. He left the country with his family during the war in 1942 and settled in Halifax, England where he met and married Irene England. He emigrated to the US in 1957 with his wife and 2 children. Together they had 4 children +Peter (Nancy), Linda (Robert), Jela and Dara (Paul). He worked at LTV Steel (formerly Republic Steel) where he retired. He was Deda to 10 grandchildren and Pradeda to 12. He was known for his storytelling and as a jack of all trades. A Serbian Orthodox Graveside service will be at 9AM Wed. Jun 11th at Oak Hill Cemetery 6445 Hohman Ave, Hammond, IN. with Very Rev. Aleksandar Savic officiating.
