Passed away on June 7, 2025

Jesus Eleazar Bermea, age 93.  Late of South Chicago.  Passed away June 7, 2025.  Beloved husband of Fannie Bermea (nee Avila) for 70 years.  Loving father of Leticia Garcia, Vivian Bermea, Javier Francisco (Tina) Bermea, Joe Adan Bermea, late Kathleen Macias – Casper, late Jesus Eleazar Bermea Jr., late Francisco Javier (Mary) Bermea, and late Cynthia Yvette (late Danny) Quijano.  Cherished grandfather of 17, great grandfather of 26, and great great grandfather of 1.  He is also survived by siblings in Texas and California as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jesus Eleazar retired after 33 years of dedicated service at US Steel.  He was also an employee of Mayflower Movers and Pyro Industrial Services.  He enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, music, and dancing. 

Visitation Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.  Funeral Services Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  For more information 773-731-2749
