Molly Ramirez

Passed away on June 2, 2025

Molly Ramirez (née Martinez), age 92, late of Dyer, IN and formerly of Hegewisch, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025.

Molly was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, before moving to Chicago after marrying the late Wilfred Ramirez.

Together, they built a beautiful life and family. She was the devoted mother of Diana (Jerry) Garibay, Christine Torres, Sharon (Late Richard) Janusz, Rosanna Slobodnik, Wilfred Ramirez Jr., and the late Barbara Ramirez. She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many, all of whom will carry her love, wisdom, and legacy forward.

Molly will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, warmth, and deep devotion to her family. She had a joyful heart and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. One of her special talents was making homemade tortillas by hand, always served with love and care.

She also had a generous spirit and a knack for thoughtful gift-giving. Whether it was a holiday or a birthday, Molly always put thought into choosing something meaningful making those around her feel seen and appreciated.
