And blessed to be a Great-Great Grandmother to Jack Stine. Proud Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Ann was fiercely independent and started working at the young age of 14. She was multi-talented and had more jobs than anyone we know. She enjoyed working at historic US Steel(during WW II) and later Sears Roebuck & Co.
Other than her family, the most important thing in Ann’s life was her faith. She was a long-time parishioner (75 years) of Annunciata Church (Our Lady of Nazareth). Being a Eucharistic Minister and a SPRED Program educator gave Ann great joy. A trip to Medjugorje with husband Mike and fellow parishioners was a highlight in Ann’s life.
If you met Ann once, she was your friend. Socializing with family and friends was her favorite past time. She took frequent bus trips to Branson to enjoy music, dancing and live entertainment. Her passion to interact with others energized her even until the last days of her life. She was a person of service and made herself available to anyone in need. Especially if you needed a ride. She was the original Uber driver. She loved driving and was happy to share the story of purchasing her first car in 1951. She was a constant source of love, support and guidance to her family; always putting the needs of others before her own. Her favorite motto was “It’s nice to be important, but more important to be nice”. Her sense of humor, strength of character, and warmth will be deeply missed.
