"John lives on through the Commercial Avenue diorama he built for us at the SE Chicago Historical Museum in the Calumet Park field house. It captures in great detail our significant retail district when our steel mills were still functioning. We are forever indebted to him for his work and always give credit to him when our awe-struck visitors re-live the South Chicago they once knew. Sincere condolences from SECHS staff"

"Please know that you have been in my thoughts. My heart goes out to the entire family, especially to Aunt Angie and my cousins. Please know that Uncle Jack played a significant role in my Life; Uncle Jack and Uncle Gene were two of the strongest role models that helped me through Life's challenges. I will never forget the chaotically insane amount of LOVE that emanated from that household any time I was fortunate to visit. Love and strength to you all."
