Visitation Information

Darlene Steward (nee Brewer), age 83, late of Valparaiso, formerly of Lansing, passed away April 20, 2025. Loving mother of Michael (Michelle) McManus and Laurie (Spencer) Framke. Devoted grandmother of TJ (Kate), Emma, Sarah, Colin (Alex), Cassidy (Cole), and Connor. Cherished great-grandmother of Brody, Colton, Wesley, Ruby, Jack, Grace and Cleo. Dearest sister of John Brewer, Charles Brewer, Dorothy Petters and the late Jim Brewer.

Darlene enjoyed board games, celebrating birthday parties with the family, going to all the grandchildren’s events, and nights out to dinner with ice cream and coffee for dessert. She loved to cook and bring her favorite dishes to parties. Her good good-natured life often involved being kind, friendly, and patient. To know her was to love her and her one of a kind laugh and smile will be missed by all.

Visitation Friday, April 25, 2025 3-8 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W 97th Lane, St. John, IN.
