Judy A. Kozlowski

Passed away on April 13, 2025

Judith A. Kozlowski, age 83, of South Chicago passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Know as Judy to family and friends, she was the only daughter of Sigmund and Irene (Brombosz) born on November 19, 1941. 

Judy was married on September 26, 1964 to the love of her life, Casimer “Moe” Kozlowski. Judy and Moe enjoyed 58 years of marriage together and had three children: Kathryn (Roy) Hellesto of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kenneth (Megan) Kozlowski of Jacksonville, Florida and Kristen (John) Lyons of Forest Park, Illinois.  Judy was the loving grandmother to Michael (Ashley) Husar, Jaclyn (Kaila) Husar, Will Lyons and Emily Lyons. Cherished great-grandmother to Viola and Casimer (Lil’ Caz) Husar.

Dearest sister to her five brothers, late Len (late Virginia) Kukulski, late Ralph (late Rita) Kukulski, late Don (Jane) Kukulski, Jim (Mary) Kukulski and late Jerry (Barbara) Kukulski. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Constant companion to her dog Kandy.

Judy was always volunteering for organizations, Sacred Heart Girl Scouts, Mt. Carmel Mother’s Club President (1988-1989) and Seton Academy Booster Club President (1995-1997). She was the recipient of the Flos Carmeli “Flower of Carmel” in 2000 and received an honorary diploma from Mt. Carmel High School. Treasured by her fellow MC alumni moms, Judy was the President of the Mt. Carmel Alumni Mother’s Club until the time of her death. 

Welcoming and opening her home and heart to others, Judy was known for always remembering birthdays with a card and her ability to host fabulous gatherings. An excellent baker, Judy would decorated cakes for her family and friends events or bring her famous carrot cake.

Judy always said her greatest accomplishment was her wonderful marriage to Moe and beautiful family.
